Mussel Pizza

  • 500 g St Austell Bay Mussels Pre cooked and Deshelled
  • 1 10" Pizza Base you can make your own but its just as easy with a pre-made base
  • 200 g Pasata sauce any base sauce will work, try Thousand island sauce!
  • 250 g Grated Davidstow Cheddar Cheese we like the extra mature one!
  • 1 large Bell Pepper
  • 2 whole spring onions chopped
  • 10 small olives
  • 1 length Churizo chopped or sliced


  • Add a little water and the mussels to the pan.cover the pan with a lid and cook the mussels for about 3-4 minutes, giving the pan a shake from time to time. The mussels are cooked when they've opened up.
  • Let the Mussels cool down and remove the meat from the shells
  • Put the Pizza base on a worktop and ladle the sauce ontop (remeber to go right to the edges so it wont burn)
  • sprinkle some cheese as a base and add the Mussel Meat & toppings
  • sprinkle a little more cheese on top and a good grind of black pepper
  • pre heat the oven to 220 degrees celcius
  • place pizza on a tray and cook for about 10 - 15 mins
  • Cut into pieces and serve
